Romantic Things To Do
Romance is something that you can incorporate into every day life. It doesn't just have to be something that has to be saved for a special occasion or something that requires a large investment of your time. In fact, some of the most romantic and memorable things that you can do are small and quick, but they can have lasting value and be something that your sweetheart will keep in their hearts for a long time. These are the little expressions of love that most people aren't aware of or just pass over routinely. But these romantic things can make your relationship extra special and keep that fire of romance burning bright.
You need to keep your eyes open and be aware during the time you spend with your partner and see all of the several opportunities that are available to be romantic. For example, do you go out of your way to make them feel good? Do you provide a back rub or foot massage when you are sitting and watching TV? Do you get a blanket for the two of you to cuddle under? Or maybe it is as simple as leaving a note or message somewhere so they can have a quick reminder of how much you care. It is these little things that go a long way to keeping your love alive.
Romance has to be a way of thinking. You need to set it as a goal to be romantic and think that way through the course of your day. So much of being romantic is just being selfless. Putting the needs of the other ahead of your own is the most romantic thing that you can do, because those actions show that you put their needs first.
The best romantic things are those that seem spontaneous. You don't need to have an elaborate plan, just do those things that come to you in the moment. Maybe you don't really have that on your mind, but if you live your day with the thought that you want to look for opportunities to make your sweetheart smile, you will be surprised just how often you have chances. Have you ever wrapped a napkin into a rose? Have you ever taken alphabet soup and spelled out a message for them? These are the things that can score you major points and really show to your partner just how much you care for them!
Thoughtful Expressions of Love
- When watching TV, don't hog the remote!!
- When they aren't looking, walk up behind them and give them a shoulder\neck massage. Don't be brief, make it a good one.
- Serve them breakfast in bed in the morning when they do not expect it.
- Make them love coupons for things like 1 hour massage, movie of their choice, etc.
- Sit down with them and look into their eyes and tell them the exact moment you fell in love with them, be detailed and specific.
Quick Expressions of Love
- Draw a heart in the sand or snow and send them the picture.
- When your sweetheart is going to travel, pack a small teddy bear in their suitcase. Hang a sign on it saying 'Body Guard'.
- Surprise your sweetheart and walk quickly by and kiss them. Then tell them they were a victim of a drive-by kissing!
- Take out a piece of paper and a pencil, then very lightly draw a heart. Now write 'I Love You' over and over again until the entire heart is filled up. Now erase the heart outline.
- When you are together and your sweetheart is checking their phone, text them that you love them and see their reaction!
Writing 'I Love You'
- Write 'I love you' on the mirror after a morning shower before they get in there.
- Write 'I love you' backwards on a note so that they have to go to a mirror to read it.
- Write 'I love you' on your tummy and let them pull up your shirt.
- Learn 'I love you' in morse code and tap it out for them (.. / .-.. --- ...- . / -.-- --- ..-)
- Spell out 'I love you' (or just a heart) with rocks in the landscaping so they see it first when they get home.
- Get a pack of glow in the dark stars and on the ceiling above your bed, draw out a heart. When you turn the lights off for the night, it will be revealed to your lover.
- If your partner is reading a book, grab a hold of it when they are not reading (obviously!!), and use a pencil to underline sections or words and compose a love letter.
